Tamlyn Tomita (Julie Sado)


Tamlyn Tomita is perhaps best known for roles in the films "The Joy Luck Club" as Waverly, directed by Wayne Wang, and as Kana in the 1995 Sundance Film FestivalŐs Audience Award winner, "Picture Bride," directed by Kayo Hatta. She also appears in the current release "Living Out Loud," directed by Richard La Gravanese. Her other films include "Come See the Paradise," directed by Alan Parker, "Touch," "The Killing Jar," "Four Rooms," and "The Karate Kid, Part II." Her television credits include "Chicago Hope," "Adam," "The Burning Zone," "Sisters," "Living Single," "All Together Now," "Quantum Leap," "Time Trax," "Murder, She Wrote," "Highlander," "Vanishing Son," "One West Waikiki," "Santa Barbara," and other movies made for television, "Hiroshima: Out of the Ashes," and "Hiroshima Maiden." A member of the Antaeus Company, Ms. Tomita has also performed in the stage plays, "Summer Moon," :Day Standing on ItŐs Head," "Nagasaki Dust," "Mirrors Remembered," "Don Juan: A Meditation," and "Winter Crane" for which she received a Drama-Logue Award.
